I recently had the chance to design the identity for a new gallery in Wolverhampton. Based in Lichfield Passage in the centre of the town, The Artists Gallery is a space available to hire for artists to showcase their work.

Project Splinescan

13th June 2009

Finished work on a logo for Project Splinescan, an open source scanning project. The goal of the project is to develop effective, open source 3D scanning tools for science and research.

yourwhere

This week saw the opening of the Kathrin Böhm exhibtion, "yourwhere", at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. I was lucky enough to asked to provide exhibtion graphics for the project including a map of Wolverhampton that fills one entire wall of the exhibtion space

It is an exciting project attempting to "map" visitors relationship to the gallery, and how Wolverhampton Art Gallery is situated within the larger cultural museum and gallery network in the UK.

Kathrin Böhm is a founding member of the artist initiative myvillages.org and public works, an artist and architects collective, which has been working on participatory public realm projects since 1999.

From 2003 to 2009, Böhm has worked as an AHRC Research Fellow at the School of Art and Design, at the University of Wolverhampton. Her recent projects, in association with public works, include Folkestonomy, for the Folkestone Triennial (2008), Can you show me the space, at the Stanley Picker Gallery, Kinston (2007) and Park Products, at the Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Garden, London (2004).

Wolverhampton Arts + Museums Website

I was responsible for the design and layout of the website for the Arts and Museums service. The final design needed to allow easy naviagtion between the three physical sites in Wolverhampton, and clean access to the collection.
